Ebooks & Exam papers

You can search for and access e-books through the Eureka platform.

Full-text access to e-books purchased by the University is available from all UniTo network IP addresses. If you are off-campus, you can log in through Eureka or by configuring the proxy service on your device.

E-books can be read online and/or downloaded as PDF files.
Most titles — unless otherwise indicated — are available for unlimited concurrent users, with no restrictions on downloading, printing, or saving.

Please note that terms of use vary depending on the publisher’s platform. However, in all cases, redistributing or sharing digital copies outside the University network is strictly prohibited.

Some e-books are available through subscription-based platforms that require registration. The registration process varies depending on the publisher (e.g. McGraw-Hill / Pearson – VitalSource, Pandoracampus, etc.).

To view or search all eBooks available at UniTo (across all disciplines):

A selection of course textbooks is also available in e-book format, all searchable via Eureka.

At the link COURSE TEXTBOOKS – NATURAL SCIENCES HUB, you can find a list of available titles. For each title, both the Eureka record and a direct link to the publisher’s platform are provided.

If you are accessing from outside the University network, you will need to authenticate using your UniTo SCU credentials. Alcuni dei testi d'esame sono disponibili anche in formato e-book, tutti ricercabili su Eureka

Note relative ad alcune piattaforme digitali

VitalSource Bookshelf provides access to e-books from McGraw Hill and Pearson in the fields of science, law, social sciences, and economics.

You can reach the platform via Bibliopass > Scientific Area > VitalSource.

After signing in with your SCU credentials, available titles are listed on the “Explore” homepage.
Click View all to browse, or search directly by title using the top-right search bar.

Once opened, you can navigate the e-book using the menu or page tools.
We recommend registering with your email address to access additional platform features.

Loan duration:

  • McGraw Hill titles: 2 days
  • Pearson titles: 14 days

Books can be returned early from My Library by clicking the three-dot icon and selecting Return.

Pearson titles on VitalSource have special conditions: each user may consult an unlimited number of books for up to 2 hours at a time. After that, the session can be renewed as needed. Up to 3 concurrent users can access each title simultaneously.

This platform provides e-books from Il Mulino, Carocci, Utet/De Agostini and other Italian publishers.

To borrow e-books:

  1. Register on pandoracampus.it by selecting “Choose your access” in the yellow box "Students", then “Register” (top right).
    • Ignore the Facebook, Google, and Idem options.
    • Use your MyUniTo email address and validate the confirmation email.
  2. Log in to Pandoracampus.
  3. Go to pandoracampus.it/lending to view available titles (up to two books at a time).
  4. Click Request loan and wait for library validation.

Once validated, go to My Books (top right) to access your title.

Loan duration: normally 3 months.
You may return a book early (after 60 days) to free a copy for other students. Each title can be borrowed simultaneously by up to 13 users.

If the title is already fully loaned out, your request will appear in Pending Requests, and you’ll receive an email once it becomes available. If you already have two books on loan, the request will be refused automatically.

To return a book:
Go to Profile > Active Subscriptions > End next to the book details.

Borrowed books automatically expire after 14 days and then become available to others.
