The libraries will be closed on 25/4 (Liberation Day) and on 27/4. Only the Plant Biology Library will be open on Monday 27th.

Local services

  • General information, first bibliographic information: questions may be asked directly at the reference’s desk during opening hours, an e-mail may be sent to biblioteca.peano@unito.it, or calls may be made to +39 0116702846. For complex bibliographic needs please come to the library.
  • Users with special needs: in the library there are electrically adjustable height table equipped with a 24′′ screen; cables for connecting the screen to personal devices; braille keyboard; ergonomic mouse and trackball; table magnifier with the possibility of reading documents.
  • Check online catalogues: in the Library there are 4 PCs. Catalogues can be accessed from outside the Library, starting from off campus access.
  • Consultation: the library is mostly open access, i.e. the books are accessible to all; only periodicals, encyclopedias, dictionaries and series must be requested from staff even for consultation only.
  • Consult manuscripts and rare documents, microfilm, databases, CD-ROM: ask the staff.

Please remember that some types of materials do not go on loan and that others are intended only for students.

The old card catalog is still available for titles not transferred to the University Research Bibliographic Hub Catalogue.

All books used should be left on trolleys or tables, without storing them on the shelf.
